There is a type of LOVE that reaches far beyond conditional expectations.  It is a rare kind of LOVE based not on affection or feeling; it is rooted in a commitment to serve as Jesus demonstrated and taught.  This is a LOVE that displays an action of sincere generosity of our resources, time and talents.

This kind of LOVE is represented by individuls who make a deliberate choice to provide low-income families with financial and resource referral assistance.

This kind of LOVE encourages people to reach out to strangers and serve them in ministry during financial setbacks and crises.

This kind of LOVE is represented by an empathetic person who freely gives, listens and visits individuals facing loneliness and despair.

WHO ARE THESE AMAZING PEOPLE?  VOLUNTEERS FROM MANY DIFFERENT CHURCHES!

You too can be a VOLUNTEER.  Here are some areas you can serve:

1. CLEARINGHOUSE CALL-IN CENTER - Our phones ring all the time from people who are looking for assistance.  We need people who will answer our calls share the LOVE of Christ over the phone lines!  The phone call is the ministry.  You will be trained to lead the interactive conversation through an interview process and complete to our intake form.  Lots of 'on the job' training occurs through partnering and listening to other volunteers until you are comfortable taking a call yourself.

We also need help with light office work, such as filing and organizing the files, or answering phones and taking messages. 

If you can donate just 3 hours a week, please join us in the volunteer 'work' opportunity!

2. GIFT OF TIME AND TALENT - We will match your skills and desires to opportunities within the ministry!  If you enjoy talking to people, you might like to be on the phones; if you have a talent for organization - you might enjoy working on our fundraisers or keeping our files straight!  Come talk with us during one of our Volunteer Orientation 1 hour meetings to learn more about what we do and how we might fit into your life.  It only takes 3 hours a week to be a LOVE volunteer!

3.  HELPING HANDS REFUGEE PROGRAM - If your church would like to START A TEAM of people who work with refugee families at-risk by providing mentoring or donating supplies please contact us.  Our Helping Hands Refugee Program serves families by connecting families in need with a friend in the community and church.

4.  IN-KIND SERVICES AND GOODS - If you can donate PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES to help us meet the needs of people please let us know.  We would also like to receive donated goods like Toys, Services, computers, and office supplies. One business donated COUNSELING SERVICES and another donated DIAPERS to our HELPING HANDS REFUGEE families.
